North Country Drifters

The North Country Drifters perform the repertoire of classic country and western swing groups from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.
At a North Country Drifters show, you are likely to hear Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain, Just Because (yes they have an accordion), Don’t Fence Me In, Red River Valley, Who’s Sorry Now, and other timeless melodies from artists such as Jimmie Rodgers, Bob Wills, Milton Brown, Ernest Tubb, Willie Nelson, Lefty Frizell, Ray Price, and Speedy West. These are songs your grandparents knew and your kids will love.

Jacqueline Nicholson

Jacqueline is a Wisconsin singer/songwriter with Iowa roots. She performs at bluegrass festivals, pubs, churches, art fairs, galleries and coffee shops in Wisconsin, Iowa and Colorado and enjoys creating music at informal jam sessions. Jackie’s sound, a mix between old country, bluegrass and folk with a June Carter flair, has been influenced by the music of Emmy Lou Harris, Michael Martin Murphey, Dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell, John Hartford, The Carter Family, Keith Yoder and Bob and Christi Black, to name just a few. She has recorded one CD with Keith Yoder called “Wrapped Up in a Song” in 2012. Her latest original single is called “Trapper’s Daughter” recorded in 2015 with Jon Peik, her guitar teacher and mentor. Jackie draws inspiration from being in nature, history, art and her family. Jackie’s music provides a healing experience for her audiences and “she really knows how to deliver a song”… her music is from the heart!
